March 2018 Favourites

March 2018 Favourites

March was a weird one. It started out with snow days (yes, snow, in March) off from work and just seemed to drag from there. It has stayed cold throughout the month so it feels as if we will never get to see Spring. Besides the weather, March wasn’t a particularly great month for me as I have been feeling quite homesick but the month is over now and I am looking forward to April. April = my first trip to Spain, so it will definitely be better than March was!

I haven’t found a show that truly sucked me in like The Handmaid’s Tale in a long time. I read the book a few years ago and I could not put it down. Like, I brought this book to work with me and read under my desk it was so good. Well, the series had me that hooked too because I finished the entire first series in less than a week. If you like dystopian novels/shows/movies this will be right up your alley. I could go on and on here, but bottom line is – watch. The second season starts in a few weeks and I am beyond excited for it to begin.

I stumbled upon Elbow Grease on the Lush website and when I saw it advertised as ‘tattoo brightening’ I knew I had to check it out. I have quite a few tattoos and while I do make sure they’re properly looked after, having a product specifically designed to keep them looking their best, and keep my skin moisturized was what I was looking for. This is a great product too even if you don’t have tattoos. You can use it on your elbows or anywhere prone to dryness. The smell is unreal. Lush needs to bottle this scent and sell it as a perfume.

Oh my god, I know, another Slimming World recipe. For someone who claims to love their crock pot so much I have been cooking quite a bit lately! I didn’t think I could love a Slimming World recipe more than their bolognese but I was wrong. This is so easy and the flavours are insane. You can decide how much spicy you want depending on your preferences but I think a bit of spice in this dish is what makes it.

This dress is so cute for Spring for those of us who love to wear black throughout the year but don’t want an overwhelming floral pattern for the warmer months. I got a UK/EU Large/ US Medium and I would say it runs a little big so go a size down if you want it to fit true to size. I personally like it being a bit looser though. I love wearing it with black tights (these are the best ones ever) and black booties (similar to mine here). This dress also is SO soft and doesn’t have to be ironed – win!

WHAT I LISTENED TO: This is definitely a hodgepodge of songs and they don’t necessarily go together but they’re all good in their own way! Promise!

This month on the blog I talked about my experience with our snow storm, The Beast from the East. I also chatted about the Different Strokes for Different Folks and my Nighttime Skincare Routine.  If you’re traveling to Rome or Dublin, city guides for each were published in Rome If You Want To and Dublin City Guide. As always, if you would like to contact me to collaborate, to say hi, or have an idea for a post you would like me to do, you can reach me through the contact page, send me a DM on Instagram, message me on Facebook, or send me a tweet on Twitter. Don’t forget to follow me on Bloglovin’ too!

Until next month,

Alexandra xx
